Shape of Liquid Drop :-
for some liquid drop angle of contact is acute while some drop angle of contact is obtuse ,
we see why this is so in this lecture
Angle of contact :-
angle made at contact between tangent drawn to liquid surface and solid surface and
measured inside the liquid surface.
Acute angle of contact / concave meniscus :-
angle of contact is acute in case of liquid which partially wets the solid . In such case
meniscus is concave .
Obtuse angle of contact / convex meniscus :-
angle of contact is obtuse in case of liquid which does not wets the solid . In such case
meniscus is convex .
zero angle of contact :-
angle of contact is zero in case of liquid which completely wets the solid .

Adhesive Force - force of attraction between molecule of different substance
